What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a site. It can make the site work, remember your preferences or, if you allow it, measure audience figures and run marketing.
The term “cookies” is used here more broadly for all trackers (cookies, local storage, pixels) that may be used on this site.
Our principle: the minimum by default
This site uses cookies and trackers to work properly, to measure its audience and, with your consent, to run marketing. Apart from strictly necessary cookies, no tracker is activated without your prior consent, collected through the banner shown on your first visit.
The banner offers you two choices of equal weight, “Accept all” or “Refuse”, with no box pre-ticked. Your choice is remembered and you can review or withdraw it whenever you wish.
Cookies used
We distinguish three categories:

Essential to the operation and security of the site. They require no consent and are used neither for profiling nor for advertising.
2. Audience measurement With your consent only
3. Marketing With your consent only
Marketing trackers are only present on certain campaign pages, for instance cinassur.be/consultants. The banner on those pages lets you accept or refuse them in the same way as audience measurement.
Consent Mode and data transfers
For audience-measurement and marketing trackers we apply Google Consent Mode: until you have accepted, no advertising or statistical cookie is placed and third-party pixels (Meta, LinkedIn) are not loaded.
These tools are supplied by companies that may transfer data to countries outside the European Economic Area, in particular the United States. Those transfers are governed by the mechanisms provided for by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
Purposes
- Making the site work: navigation, security, remembering your preferences, including your cookie choice.
- Improving the site: understanding, anonymously and in aggregate, how it is used, only if you agree.
- Measuring our campaigns: assessing the effectiveness of our advertising and remarketing, only if you agree.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
Retention period
Each tracker has its own lifespan, set out in the tables above: from a single session to 24 months at most. Your consent choice is kept for 6 months; after that the banner is shown again so you can confirm or change your decision.
Refusing or withdrawing your consent
You stay in control of your choices, at any time and as easily as you gave them:
- Through the banner: click “Refuse” to allow only the necessary cookies.
- At any time: reopen your preferences with the “Cookies” button at the bottom left of every page, or the button below.
- Through your browser: you can block or delete cookies in the settings of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari. Blocking necessary cookies may however degrade how the site works.
